People over 80 years of age begin to receive a subsidy payment of 225 thousand pesos.

Starting this Friday, June 21, payments for the sixth cycle of the program will beginColombia Mayor of Social Prosperity,that will be available at authorized payment points in Cúcuta until July 5.

Milton Quintero, director of the program in Cúcuta, told RCN Radio FM“It is noteworthy that people over 80 years of age who have reached this age before June 11 of this year will receive the payment of $225,000, money approved by the National Government.”

Approximately 30,000 beneficiariesof the Adulto Mayo Program in Cúcuta receive monthly paymentand 80 thousand pesos,while 3,000 grandparents will begin to receive the payment of 225,000 pesos as of this date of thisFriday, June 21st.

For this new cycle,40 new users enteredwho will receive the subsidy payment, for which older adults are invited to constantly review the status of their application to the program and access in a timely manner the resources available to improve their quality of life.

In the event that the older adult presents a suspension for non-payment, the interested party must go to the facilities of theDepartment of Social Prosperityto update the news and in this way continue making the next payments of the program.

Milton Quintero invited family members or caregivers of older adults with mobility limitations to come to the offices to carry out the payment authorization process through a power of attorney to third parties.
