Cuba swept Bulgaria and cut Serbia several points in the ranking, to keep alive the hopes of achieving the Olympic ticket to Paris 2024 in volleyball.

The island team showed undoubted superiority over its rivals, whom it defeated three sets to zero, with a double 25-18 in the first and third sets and 25-20 in the second.
Michael Sánchez (13), Miguel Ángel López (10), Marlon Yant and Robertlandy Simón with 9 were the top scorers for Cuba, which had fewer errors than Bulgaria, as a positive note, as well as better numbers in attack.

In this way, Cuba adds six points and closes the distance with Serbiaalthough they have three more games left, while the island only has one match against Poland left.

At the moment, the difference between Serbia and Cuba is 4.81 units, something that will change when Serbia plays against Turkey, because if it achieves a victory, as is presumed, it would separate much further again. In case of a defeat, it would be good news for the Cuban team.

Cuba borders on epic, falls into a tie break and Serbia maintains the Olympic ticket
