“I-COMEX La Pampa Game Jam” was presented at the I-COMEX La Pampa facilities, in search of an export game. A unique event that challenges video game developers to create one with the theme of foreign trade, incorporating information on products and/or export destinations from the province.
In continuity with the public policy of the government of La Pampa to promote the development of video games and knowledge-based services in the region, this project was presented that will be developed between June and August.
The objective of this new edition is to promote the development of the Pampas video game ecosystem, promoting local talent, while promoting knowledge about La Pampa’s foreign trade, highlighting products and export destinations. In addition, it seeks to encourage creativity and innovation in the field of game design and development.
On this occasion, the winning team will have the opportunity to participate in the Expo Videojuegos Argentina (EVA) in Buenos Aires, one of the most important events in the video game industry in Latin America.
This event provides a unique opportunity for emerging and experienced video game developers to network, dive into the latest programming trends, and learn about business rounds.
The Minister of Social Development and Human Rights, Diego Álvarez, participated in the press conference; the executive director of the I-COMEX La Pampa Agency, Sebastián Lastiri; the Foreign Trade Manager of I-COMEX, Eugenia Paturlanne; the Undersecretary of Social Economy, Graciela Salvini; the executive director of the Agency for Sciences, Technology and Open Innovation (CITIA Agency), Verónica Duarte; and the Undersecretary of Youth of La Pampa, Rodrigo Draeger.
I-COMEX La Pampa
I-COMEX La Pampa is a public Agency that promotes the development of exports and investments in La Pampa and provides a variety of services to companies, including export assistance, investment promotion and market research.
During the Game Jam, the I-COMEX La Pampa Agency will provide general and specific information about La Pampa’s exports and the main destinations. In addition, the Foreign Trade team will be available to resolve queries and provide support on these issues.
CITIA: TOOL FOR BUSINESS CREATION
The government of La Pampa offers for those teams that want to establish themselves as companies the possibility of having the help of the Pampeana Agency for Sciences, Technologies and Open Innovation (CITIA Agency), an organization preceded by the Ministry of Production, created to promote scientific research, technological development, knowledge generation and open innovation in the province of La Pampa.
GAME JAM
The Game Jam is an event where developers, designers and artists come together to create games within an estimated time frame. It is not a competition, but rather an experience of learning, communication and, for some, finding their vocation and a potential job opportunity.
INSCRIPTION
Registration for the Game Jam can be done individually or in groups online. You will find the registration form on the I-COMEX website www.icomexlapampa.org.
Once the initial registration period has ended, groups can be formed for those participants who do not have one.
