Internal Disciplinary Control carries out investigations into the official conduct of the public servant

• The Administrative Department of Internal Disciplinary Control, in compliance with its preventive function, is investigating the conduct of family commissioners and police inspectors and corregidors.
  
• The investigations will be available to citizens in December 2024.

The Administrative Department of Internal Disciplinary Control (DACDI) of the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de Cali, through the Observatory for the Surveillance of Official Conduct and with a view to strengthening the integrity and efficiency of the public service, is carrying out two investigations titled ‘Analysis of the disciplinary conduct of family commissioners’ and ‘Analysis of the disciplinary behavior of police inspectors and magistrates’.

The objective of the investigations is to raise awareness among officials so that they act with ethics and professionalism, guaranteeing the trust of citizens in security and justice institutions.

According to Gustavo Arboleda Delgado, director of DACDI, among the functions of the district organization is preventive. “Within this functional framework, we are responsible for carrying out research projects on the conduct of public servants, with the purpose of guiding them and dissuading them from committing disciplinary offenses,” he explained.

In turn, lawyer Rodrigo Alberto Garcés, leader of the investigations, assures that with these analyzes “we are focused on identifying possible errors with the mishandling of cases, lack of impartiality and non-compliance with regulations.”

With the completion of these two studies, at the end of 2024, the Observatory for the Surveillance of Official Conduct will have completed a total of 22 investigations, which have been carried out since 2013. They are available to citizens and can be consulted at THIS LINK.
