During the night of this Friday, around 11 p.m., a violent incident was reported on 56 García Street in Godoy Cruz where a young, 26 years old, was stabbed in the abdomen with a screwdriver in an attack carried out by several individuals whose identity and motives are still unknown.
The attack occurred when the victim was walking along the aforementioned street and was approached by the attackers. After the attack, the young man was rushed to Lencinas Hospital, where he received initial care. Doctors diagnosed traumatic brain injury (TBI) without loss of consciousness and a puncture wound on the right side of the abdomen.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was later transferred to Lagomaggiore Hospital where he remains hospitalized.
Meanwhile, local authorities, led by Prosecutor’s Office No. 03 of the 7th Police Station, began an investigation to clarify the reasons for the attack and find those responsible. It is expected that security cameras in the area and witness testimonies can provide crucial information to solve the case.
