On this Saturday afternoon, three people died due to a head-on collision between the vehicle in which they were traveling and a truck. These are two women and a man. Their ages and relationship have not yet been revealed.
The fatal accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on provincial route n°5, km 112 in the Villa Sierras del Lago neighborhood, in the town of Embalse, in the Calamuchita Valley, in the southwest of the province of Córdoba.
The road accident occurred near a grove of trees, in front of a regional products store, in the southeastern end of the neighborhood that is located on the outskirts of Embalse, in the direction of the town of Almafuerte.
It is a straight line of more than two kilometers, where the collision occurred meters from where the white lines that allow both hands to pass begin. At the exact point of the accident, those who are allowed to pass are those who are going in the direction of Embalse.
According to firefighters from that town, the victims are two women and a man – who have not yet given identification or address – who were driving in a Chevrolet Tracker SUV.
The impact was head-on with a Chevrolet S10 truck in which two men from Oncativo were traveling. One of them was transferred to the Santa Rosa de Calamuchita Regional Hospital, with serious injuries.
In principle, and according to how the vehicles were arranged on the road, the Chevrolet Tracker was traveling from the southeast towards Embalse, while the Chevrolet S10 truck was traveling in the opposite direction.
The vehicles were left on the side that goes towards Embalse, so investigators must establish responsibility for the accident.
