Images and videos shared in several Facebook groups showed how several streets in Vedado were also completely flooded after these unexpected rains, which also caused difficulties in the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians.
The latest weather report issued by the Institute of Meteorology at three in the afternoon this Saturday indicates that it will be cloudy in much of the country, with showers, rains and thunderstorms that will be numerous during the afternoon and night, mainly in the western and central regions, becoming strong in some localities.
The forecast specifies that in the areas of showers and thunderstorms the strength of the winds and the height of the waves may increase.
These rains are related to a very humid flow at low levels, in combination with strong currents at high levels of the troposphere, which will continue in the west for the rest of the day, extending in the afternoon and night to the rest of the archipelago. .
