Alejandra Messa was arrested this Saturday in Los Amores accused of trying to murder a man from the town with a stab wound to the neck area.
The vice president of the northern commune – representative of the minority in the police commission chaired by the PJ – was involved in a case that shocks public opinion in the northern province that occurred on Saturday in the urban area of the town of the Vera department, close to the border with Chaco.
According to what was narrated by the prosecutor on duty, Dr. Alejandro Rodríguez, the victim is a neighbor named Yedro. “This man says that he knew this woman who had gone to her house, and that they had an argument. Apparently, I can’t confirm it, so it appears from the fact that they had some type of relationship more than friends.”
“Surprisingly, she stabbed him in the neck area with a knife, an old knife,” said the MPA official. It was there that “he grabbed his hand, an altercation occurred, the guy went out into the street desperate because of the wound that was bleeding and a passerby just passed by and told him to call the police,” he continued.
It was the injured man himself who went to the local police station – that’s how he was, in his underwear and covered with a towel – to report the insane attack. After being examined by a doctor, he had to be referred to the Central Hospital of Reconquista due to the injuries received, where he remained hospitalized out of danger, the latter confirmed by Dr. Rodríguez.
Minutes later, the community official – a school assistant by profession – spontaneously appeared before the police station and at her own expense handed over the knife, the element with which she would have perpetrated the bloody act.
The police report stated that Messa went to Yedro’s house, that an argument broke out and that, suddenly, he stabbed him with the intention of killing him. “If what happened was in the midst of some intimacy, or something like that, it is a topic that does not interest me,” clarified the prosecutor, who asked to protect details of the criminal classification to be attributed until the imputation hearing is held.
Messa became a detainee yesterday afternoon – after the PDI Reconquista took a statement from Yedro at his place of confinement -, she was housed in a cell in the governor’s office of the XIX Regional Unit and will be charged within the legal period of 96 hours. This Sunday the hearing to control the legality of the arrest was held, which was approved by the judge on duty.
