Students from Potosí were given two weeks of vacation in advance and now 561 thousand basic education students from eight thousand public and private institutions enjoy these days off.
It was last May 21 of this year when the State Government Education Secretariat (SEGE), headed by Juan Carlos Torres Cedillo, announced that the Government of the State of San Luis Potosí, requested the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP), to advance the school calendar to guarantee the health and well-being of children and youth in light of the high temperatures recorded in Potosí territory.
