According to official data from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sportsthe province, including the Greater Saint John and the interior departments, reached a hotel occupancy of the 70%. It is important to highlight that 69% of tourists visited the province for the first time.
According to data from the Secretary of provincial tourism, occupancy reached 80% in Calingasta, 79% Fertile Valley, 60% in Great Saint John, 31% in Jáchal and 46% in Church.
The province organized various activities to entertain the tourist. The most visited places were Ischigualasto Provincial Park (Valley of the Moon), famous for its rock formations and dinosaur fossils; he El Leoncito National Parkvery looking for astrotourism; and the Ullum Reservoir, where water sports are practiced all year round.
