The violent episode occurred around 6:40 pm last Saturday, June 22, when Prada Núñez was in the sector known as Pleno Sol, there he was intercepted by armed men. According to witnesses to the incident, the victim and his attackers exchanged a couple of words and then an intense chase broke out.

Yerson David ran in the direction of the Brisas de Paz y Futuro neighborhood and just when he tried to take refuge in a commercial establishment that is located right at the entrance to the sector, he was hit by the hitmen; They shot him 12 times and his body was left lying in front of the business.

Once the attack was carried out, the gunmen fled in an apparent unknown direction. Neighborhood residents alerted the Cúcuta Metropolitan Police (Mecuc), whose uniformed officers, upon arriving at the scene, cordoned off the scene so that the Interinstitutional Homicide Brigade (Brinho) could carry out the technical inspection and removal of the body.

As it was known, Yerson David Prada Núñez resided in the La Fortaleza invasion along with his mother and one of his brothers. Yerson David was the oldest of the three brothers.
