Yerson David Prada Núñez, a 24-year-old young man, was shot on the Western Ring Road, in Cúcuta, just the same day that the director of the National Police, General William René Salamanca, visited the city to learn about the security plans that are implementing.
The violent episode occurred around 6:40 pm last Saturday, June 22, when Prada Núñez was in the sector known as Pleno Sol, there he was intercepted by armed men. According to witnesses to the incident, the victim and his attackers exchanged a couple of words and then an intense chase broke out.
