During the morning of this Monday, June 24, the Government and Social Development and Family seremis announced the launch of the National Support and Care System, “Chile Cuida”, for caregivers, as well as those who require support and care. care.

The ministers of Government, Juan Guerra, and of Social Development and Family, Roberto Giubergia, announced the progress and challenges of the program.

Giubergia highlighted that this effort aims to support the work of caregivers. “With this Law, what we are going to do is unify all that effort into a single system,” she said.

“In our region there are already almost three thousand people who have registered in the system, of which the majority are women,” added the authority.

The Government Seremi, Juan Guerra, pointed out that the Support and Care Network has already been implemented in Los Ríos since 2022.

“We already have half of the communes in the region with a local network of support and care in this national system “Chile Cuida” that is expanding,” he expressed.

It should be noted that the bill creates the National Support and Care System as the intersectoral institution in charge of coordinating policies, programs and benefits aimed at support and care, to gradually and progressively guarantee the exercise of the right to care.
