The Mayor’s Office of Medellín announced that giant screens will be installed in several Inder sports venues so that citizens can enjoy the Copa América matches, the main official continental soccer tournament, which is currently taking place in the United States. In total four giant screens will be installed.

The Colombian National Team’s matches in the group stage will be projected on the giant screens, so that Medellin residents can enjoy the sporting events.

The screens will be located in the El Compromiso covered sports court, in the 1-Popular commune; the Parque Gaitán covered sports court, in the commune 3 -Manrique; at the Florencia Cultural and Sports Integration Center, in the commune 5 -Castile; and in the covered sports field of the UVA San Javier, in the commune 13.

“On Monday we are going to have four indoor areas for sports fans in four places in Medellín. We are going to put the signal of the match of our Colombian National Team in the Copa América for the enjoyment of the community. We are going to the neighborhoods,” said Eduardo Silva Meluk, director of Inder.

The group stage matches that will be broadcast through the four screens installed in the Inder sports venues are:

  • Monday, June 24 at 5:00 pm: Colombia – Paraguay
  • Friday, June 28 at 5:00 pm: Colombia – Costa Rica
  • Tuesday, July 2 at 8:00 pm: Colombia – Brazil

The Colombian National Team has not lost for two and a half years, a total of 23 games that include 17 wins and five draws. Twenty of these matches have been with Néstor Lorenzo, who has not known defeat, so the fans are excited about each match.
