On Monday morning, at 8:30, a judicial inspection began by the Military Prosecutor’s Office, specifically in the Galán building. The judicial action, led by experts from the Judicial Police and the Dijín, aimed to collect evidence related to the polygraph session carried out on Marelbys Meza on January 30, 2023.

During the investigation, investigators toured key areas such as the polygraph room, the security camera area and the office of Colonel Carlos Feria, head of security for the Presidency. This officer was formally accused by the Attorney General’s Office of the Nation for crimes such as embezzlement by use, abuse of public office and illegal constraint, in relation to the case of the alleged theft at the residence of Laura Sarabia, former chief of staff of President Gustavo Petro.

The judicial process also involves Captain Elkin Augusto Gómez and Mayor Jhon Alexander Sacristán Bohórquez, accused of aggravated abusive access to a computer system and other charges related to the alleged manipulation during Meza’s polygraph test.

This case has generated a conflict of powers between the ordinary justice system and the Military and Police Criminal Justice, over who should carry out the investigation, an issue that will be defined by the Constitutional Court after the positive conflict report presented by the Prosecutor 2203 of Knowledge Specialized.

The diligence was recorded through the use of a high-tech drone, unique in Colombia and acquired from the United States for this purpose, which transmitted images in real time.
