Yesterday afternoon, the official launch of the long-awaited All New L200 took place at the branch of the Rosselot dealership located at Av. Libertad 999, Viña del Mar. The event was attended by Hugo Castro, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors Chile and representatives of the Rosselot dealership.
After almost 10 years of development, Mitsubishi Motors, a brand represented in Chile by Astara, launched the new generation of the iconic L200 truck, it arrived completely renewed, with a more robust exterior design and a super High Power engine with more than 200 HP and 470 Nm of torque, along with innovative active safety accessories in its three models: Dakar, Katana and Work.

This new generation comes with 7 airbags as standard and a complete active safety system, including a frontal collision mitigation system (FCW), blind spot warning (BSW), lane change assist (LKA), among others, to prevent accidents.
It should be noted that this new generation was subjected to high-impact tests by ANCAP (Australia) and ASEAN NCAP (South East Asia), organizations that evaluate and promote the safety of new vehicles in their geographical areas. In both evaluations, it obtained a maximum rating of 5 stars, becoming the first double cabin van to achieve this result, in accordance with the organization’s new 2023-2025 protocols, thus demonstrating high levels of protection for the driver, adult passenger of the front seat and children.
The New L200 stands out for its reliability, both on and off the asphalt, thanks to the permanent Super Select 4WD traction system, which now adds the new Off-Road Mode and Hill Descent Control systems.
Its attractive interior design stands out for being more comfortable and elegant, highlighting its soft and functional materials, the integration of controls on the steering wheel, more space for storage of objects, as well as USB ports in the front and rear area.
In addition, it is equipped with a series of advanced technological features that enhance the driving experience. A high-resolution 8- or 9-inch touchscreen, with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a combined dashboard with a 7″ LCD screen, a start button, a 360° parking camera with moving object detection, cruise control, and leather seats with electric adjustment, qualities that stand out among other features that vary according to the model.
With 46 years of history, this iconic Mitsubishi Motors model has become the best-selling pickup truck in our country during the last decade.
