Dengue cases do not stop growing throughout the country. According to the latest report from the National Institute of Health, in the week between June 9 and 15, more than 10 thousand cases were confirmed.

“In epidemiological week 24 of 2024, 10,880 probable cases of dengue were reported: 6,859 cases from this week and 4,021 cases from previous weeks. According to the cumulative number, 185,751 cases have been registered, 115,292 (62.1%) without warning signs, 68,766 (37.0%) with warning signs and 1,693 (0.9%) of severe dengue.says the INS report.

“79.1% (142,643) of the cases nationwide come from Valle del Cauca, Cali, Santander, Tolima, Huila, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Cauca and Norte de Santander,” complements the report of the National Institute of Health.

To date, according to the National Institute of Health, there are 16,509 confirmed cases of dengue in Huila, making it the fourth department with the most confirmed cases. The first is Valle del Cauca with 37,939, followed by Santander with 19,202 and Tolima with 16,718.
