In less than a week, criminals stole the lights in three parks in Valledupar, where the modernization plan had been executed to improve recreational spaces in the city.

There were two LED lights in Didactic Park, another two in Don Carmelo Park and one in Panama Park, affecting the public lighting infrastructure and the loss of investments to improve the city.

“It is unfortunate that in such a short time after the aforementioned sectors have intervened, we already have a record of five thefts of the new lighting system. Together with the municipal administration, we make an effort to provide Vallenato families with environments conducive to healthy recreation, therefore, such scourges are inadmissible and will be exposed to the Prosecutor’s Office,” said Ricardo Henríquez Salas, manager of ESTIV SAS ESP.

He emphasized the importance of authorities remaining alert to possible irregular situations that compromise the safety of networks, lights and transformers; In addition, citizens in general report to line 3105603784 of the entity and 123-165 of the National Police, in order to arrest those responsible.

It should be noted that in the municipality 45 parks have been modernized, including the townships north and south of Valledupar, such as Mariangola, Aguas Blancas and Patillal.
