From this June 24th until the coming 27th, Guantánamo will host the third edition of the Meeting of Young Radialists Punto Ceroan event that is limited to the celebrations for the 87th anniversary of the CMKS Station, and is sponsored by the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) and the Provincial Directorates of Radio and Culture in the territory.
This edition of the contest, whose main theme is radio made by its audiences, is also dedicated to the two decades since the founding of the La Voz del Sol Station, in the municipality of Maisí, and to the established journalist, announcer and teacher of radio broadcasters Martha Reyes Noa; and the event includes in its program conferences, discussions, tours of historical sites and intergenerational meetings.
The broadcasts of the youth program Dimension of the radio station CMKS in communities of the municipalities of Maisí and Baracoa, as well as the exchange with filmmakers from the radio collectives of both territories are also part of the schedule of the event, which will also be a space to praise and revisit the ideology of the Apostle José Martí.
The jury of the event, chaired by the teacher Martha Reyes Noa, together with the experienced director Ramón González Méndez and the young creators Dayana Mesa Giralt, Arletty Leyva Cordoví and Yosvanis Acuña Montero, will evaluate the works sent to the contest in this edition, which It will also promote the creation and recording of a new radio program for the children and adolescents of the territory.
The awards ceremony of the third Meeting of Young Radio Broadcasters Punto Cero will take place at the Artex La Guantanamera Cultural Center, coinciding with the commemoration of the 87th anniversary of the founding of the CMKS Station, to be held on June 27.
The jury for this edition of the event is already meeting in Guantánamo, which will select the best radio proposals.
