In a statement, the Army reported that “at the conclusion of the military operation, members of the communities, committing the crime of riot and attacking the integrity of the soldiers of the National Army, began violent actions to expel the military from the area, setting two vehicles on fire. ”.

The Third Division of the Army indicates that “the community is urged not to obstruct military operations, nor attack those in uniform, because this can be consecutive to criminal offenses such as those enshrined in articles 226, 429 and 469, of the Colombian Penal Code.” .

In this regard, General Eric Rodríguez, Commander of the 2nd Southwest Joint Command, stated that “around 300 people surrounded the uniformed officers and ordered them to leave.”
