Cordova. The XXL weekend generated an economic impact of 67 billion pesos – ENREDACCIÓN

The long weekend exceeded expectations for the tourism sector and in most of the valleys of the province the average occupancy was 80%. The information was released by the Córdoba Tourism Agency (ACT). The official report also indicates that the tourist movement generated 67 billion pesos for the local economy.

“We are more than satisfied with the number of people from all over the country who once again chose Córdoba. Last weekend – shorter but with a holiday too – we had an interesting movement which tells us that the right direction is this: Promote the province for its geographical and gastronomic wealth and, among other things, for its events such as the of La Renga, which filled the city with visitors,” said the president of the ACT, Darío Capitani.

According to the survey carried out by the Agency, in the Traslasierras Valley, Nono was at 75% and Villa Cura Brochero at 70%; To the north and northwest, Tulumba (recently elected to compete as one of the most beautiful towns in the world) reached 100% and had to refer tourists to neighboring towns, while Deán Fúnes was at 70%.

In the Calamuchita Valley, La Cumbrecita recorded 98%, Villa General Belgrano 88%, Yacanto de Calamuchita 85%, and Santa Rosa more than 80%. Punilla, meanwhile, reported 95% in Capilla del Monte and Villa Carlos Paz was at 85.5%, with the capacity of the categorized hotels absolutely full.

Miramar de Ansenuza reported 85%; in the Sierras Chicas -both Colonia Caroya and Jesús Maria- they reached 80%; and Córdoba city averaged 75%.

According to the information collected by the sectoral studies and statistics division of the ACT, the visitors arrived from Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, the province of Córdoba itself and the north and Cuyo of the country.

In addition, the monitoring also showed the reception of visitors from Uruguay and Chile. The positive economic impact for the province was around 67 billion pesos.
