One of the climatic events that attracts the most attention in the year 2024 is the arrival of La Niña to Chilean effect that was delayed in its beginning but that should start in the coming months after the conclusion of El Niño.

In that last sense, one of the most affected points would be Latin America according to Capital Economics (as reported by La Tercera). This with conditions drier in southern Brazil, northern Argentina and in some places in Uruguay and Paraguay.
At the same time, there would be colder conditions on the coast of the southern cone, which includes Chile, Peru, Ecuador and even Bolivia.
In that sense, the risk and consequences would be concentrated in livestock and agriculture in Brazil and Argentina. This is in the face of a drier climate and shortages of water supply.
