(ADN).- The liberal space has no respite in Río Negro. Now, there are accusations from the La Libertad Avanza bloc to their PRO peers for legislative “plagiarism” in the project to reincorporate the figure of reiteration in the Criminal Procedure Code. “We hope that the proximity with the provincial government will facilitate the approval of the project,” they said. The answer was immediate.

Santiago Ibarrolaza, Patricia Mc Kidd and César Domínguez accused of replicating “letter by letter” their original proposal, which seeks that those who commit crimes with an open cause be deprived of their freedom. According to LLA, the initiative was presented two months ago, without being evaluated in commissions.

Legislators hope that the initial idea “will become a procedural reality that protects the people of Rio Negro.” The proposal to reinstate the figure of repetition is part of a series of security measures, which include the development of crime maps, the installation of more surveillance cameras, the acquisition of patrol cars and the improvement of current laws.

PRO’s response

Martina Lacour was in charge of the response. “They don’t go to work in the committees and they don’t read the projects,” the Bariloche legislator complained.

“Perhaps they did not take the trouble to read our reiteration project due to its length, since our project has four pages of foundations, in which we cite national and international legal precedents, and finally we request to modify two articles of the criminal procedure code,” he stated, defending the originality and depth of his proposal.

Lacour criticized the lack of participation of Ibarrolaza, McKidd and Domínguez in the commission meetings. «If they attended the commission meetings, or if they at least worked together with the blocks to which they belong, which were formed after the provincial election when we were elected based on popular will as members of the same list, we would have been able to discuss a project together,” he said. He added that due to this lack of collaboration, his group developed a “superior, clearer and better-founded” project.

In response to the accusations of closeness to the ruling party, which Ibarrolaza, Mc Kidd and Dominguez outlined against her bloc yesterday, Lacour was emphatic: “What can be more functional to the ruling party than dismembering the first minority, as they intend, constituting another bloc ?». She highlighted that her objective is to work in favor of the province and the people of Rio Negro, supporting initiatives that they consider positive and firmly opposing those that are not.

The legislator concluded by stating that the purpose of her bloc is to change the reality of Río Negro and not to engage in media incursions. “Our desire is to change the province and the reality of the people of Rio Negro, accompanying the initiatives that we consider positive, and being strong opponents when we consider that they are not, instead of making inroads into the media,” concluded Lacour.
