Five games officially began the 18th edition of the National Adult Clubs B, which will be held until Sunday in Comodoro Rivadavia. Three representatives from the Metropolitan Federation and one from the local Association took the first victories of the contest.
Ferro Carril Oeste, Argentinos Juniors and Nueva Generación, in the men’s division, and Mariano Acosta, in the women’s division, debuted with triumphs. The girls from Platense and Ferro starred in the only tie of the first day in a competition that, after two years, is being held again in the Patagonian city and that will be delivering two promotions per branch to Nacional A 2025. The four semifinals on Saturday, The two duels for third place and the two finals on Sunday will be broadcast live via streaming on the CAH YouTube channel.
In the men’s tournament, the local team Nueva Generación debuted in Zone A with a victory against Alianza Villa Maria de Córdoba 29:27 and in the same zone the confrontation between Vélez and Petroquimica had to be rescheduled for Thursday due to a power outage on the court. In Zone C Ferro beat Palazzo de Chubut 41:22, while in the interzonal match of zones A and B Argentinos Juniors beat Belgrano San Nicolás 46:21.
Among the women, Mariano Acosta beat Municipalidad de KM 5 de Chubut 44:10 for the first date of Zone D, while in the interzonal match between zones A and B, there was a tie between two teams from the Metropolitan Federation of Handball, Platense and Ferro equalized with 23 goals.
