The Sports Commission continued today with the treatment of a project to declare the Córdoba rally as an integral part of the intangible and intangible cultural heritage of the province, under the terms of Law No. 9729.

The meeting was held jointly with the Tourism and General Legislation Commissions.

Legislators Karina Bruno and Facundo Torres Lima are the authors of this bill (39008/L/24) which also declares provincial interest the promotion, encouragement and facilitation of the development of all cultural, sports, tourism and infrastructure activities related to sports competition.

Legislator Bruno highlighted that, in addition to the benefits it represents for regional economies, this year the 40 years since the first competition was heldand that together with the quartet and the humor, the rally makes the identity of Córdoba and the people of Córdoba.

It is worth remembering that, in a previous commission meeting, Cordoban motorsport leaders participated who also offered their opinion on the benefits that this activity brings to the tourism and economic development of the province.

On the other hand, the standard will declare to the 28th of April of each year as Cordobés Rally Dayin recognition of the date on which the first genuine competition of the activity valid for the provincial tournament was held in 1985.

In its foundations, the project also highlights the commitment of the Cordoban rally with the environment remembering that, thanks to an agreement with the Government of the Province, “The Cordoba rally will be the first and only category the country will use from this season biofuelsthus betting on working on the carbon footprint and taking care of the nature of our territory”.

The commission issued a office with the support of all political blocks which will be discussed for final approval in a next plenary session.

The meeting was chaired by legislator Luciana Presas (Tourism), legislator María Victoria Busso (General Legislation); and legislator Patricia Botta (Sports).
