Prioritizing projects that comply with the 2024 budget is the work that the Secretary of Planning, Ignacio Nieto Mogollón and the Secretary of the Treasury, Diego Fran Ariza, have been carrying out, who began budget harmonization after the sheet was approved by the Departmental Assembly. route proposed by Governor MG (R) Juvenal Díaz Mateus, in the Es Tiempo de Santander development plan.

“We are in this process, we are going to seek approval of the ordinance on budget harmonization and we hope to begin execution around July 4 of this 2024-2027 validity of the development plan,” explained Nieto Mogollón.

According to the Secretary of Planning, through this procedure, the projects with which the execution of the development plan will begin are prioritized. Likewise, based on transparency, the plans of the past administration are concluded and given continuity in initiatives that benefit all the inhabitants of the Santander territory.

“The Topocoro nautical project has already been filed for the first semester, which is being reviewed and updated; The teacher payroll is a project that we give priority to. “There is an ICT project that has already been filed, among others,” commented Nieto Mogollón.

Strategic projects

The Secretary of Planning highlighted that Governor MG (R) Juvenal Díaz Mateus plans the creation of the Tourism Corporation, the Licorera de Santander; investment in educational infrastructure, bilingualism, construction of the Metropolitan External Road Ring, the recovery of the secondary and tertiary road network, and the wastewater treatment plants (WTP) are strategic projects reflected in the document that will benefit the people of Santander.

Regarding environmental impact mitigation works, Nieto Mogollón specified that 13 structures are being optimized, eight have studies and designs and seven are being built. However, it is necessary to intervene 67 Ptar in the department and act under the unified action strategy.
