Ideam predicts that Heavy rains will continue in the Atlantic, especially in Barranquilla, due to the passage of two tropical waves through the Caribbean Sea. There are also alerts for possible overflows of streams and landslides in municipalities of the department.

Cristian Arango, meteorologist at Ideam, He maintained that the rains could decrease at the beginning of next weekend.
“In fact, there are quite heavy rains in sectors of the Atlantic, due to the passage of tropical waves. These two phenomena are generating a lot of cloudiness. We have reports of rain quite intense for the city of Barranquilla and that could decrease from Friday and weekend,” he said.
Arango said that there is an orange alert due to possible overflows of streams in Juan de Acosta, Tubará and Puerto Colombia. Also there is an orange alert for possible landslides in Juan de Acosta, Luruaco and Repelón.
