The Ministry of Human Capital is at the center of a controversy due to the retention of food in warehouses. In an attempt to meet the deadline set by the Justice, the Ministry presented a new plan to distribute the merchandise.

The Ministry of Human Capital seeks to distribute food in vulnerable schools. This plan includes the participation of the social development areas of each province, who must assume the costs of removing and distributing the food.

What will the provinces do?

The Ministry of Human Capital indicated that each province must cover the expenses related to the withdrawal and distribution of food. The provincial Ministries of Social Development were called to collaborate in the distribution, with the allocation of food based on the Index of Social Context of Education (ICSE). In San Juan, the organization called would be the Family and Human Development portfolio chaired by Carlos Platero.

It must be clarified that this index will help determine the amount of food that each province will receive. The provinces have a period of four days, from June 24 to 28, to say if they want to receive the food intended for vulnerable schools. After this period, the Ministry will work only with the provinces that decide to participate, ensuring rapid delivery of food.

The Ministry explained that the provinces that agree to participate must remove the food according to the quantities and locations agreed upon in the Collaboration Agreement. This process will be reported in detail to the Court as deliveries are made, ensuring transparency and compliance with judicial deadlines.

Demands of Justice

Federal judge Sebastián Casanello had given a period of 72 hours to the Ministry of Human Capital, led by Sandra Pettovello, to present a new distribution plan or explain the situation before the Court.

In response, the Ministry detailed that it had already distributed 465 tons of milk and corn flour close to expiration through the Conin foundation, and clarified that there is no grass in poor condition in the Villa Martelli and Tucumán warehouses.
