This Friday from 5:30 p.m., the Province of Chubut will celebrate its 69th anniversary with a great party at the Municipal Gymnasium of Playa Unión, which will have several stands with gastronomic and artisanal products from the region, as well as the shows that will be offered by the local artists Yhosva Montoya, Yoel Hernández and the ballet El Camaruco, among others.
The festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Protected Areas and the Undersecretariat of Culture, will be free of charge. During the celebrations, municipalities, artisans and producers distinguished with the “Chubut Origin” seal will be represented in the 40 stands that will be part of the event.
The central event will take place at 9 p.m. with the participation of Governor Ignacio Torres, mayors and officials from across the province. The commemoration will include live shows throughout the day and a great paella to enjoy with the family.
In this regard, the province’s Undersecretary of Tourism, María José Pögler, highlighted the holding of this “popular event designed to commemorate a new anniversary of the creation of Chubut.”
He stated that “fairgrounds, artisans, producers and artists will be the protagonists of this festival,” and invited all the people of Chubut to be part of the festivities that will take place in the capital of the province.
PROVINCIAL TERRITORY
This Friday, Chubut celebrates its 69th anniversary since its creation as a provincial territory, after the sanction signed on June 15, 1955 in the National Congress of Law No. 14,408 and promulgated by the National Executive Branch. Days later, specifically on June 28, our province was created and the so-called Comodoro Rivadavia Military Zone, established in 1944, was annulled.
