The road section between the north of Bucaramanga and the municipality of Rionegro remains with restricted passage due to the side rollover of a tractor-trailer on the morning of this Wednesday, June 26.
The accident occurred in the sector known as the Bajada del Nogal, after passing the Los Colorados neighborhood.
The causes of the accident are being investigated by traffic authorities, but a mechanical failure of the heavy-duty vehicle has not been ruled out.
The driver escaped unharmed from the accident although he received medical attention at the scene of the incident from paramedics in an ambulance.

“He was very lucky because the rollover was to the opposite side of the cabin and the weight went to that side. Although they say it was a mechanical failure, one could also think of a ‘microsleep’, fortunately it was only material damage. That vile stretch is a double lane and is in good condition.“said a public service transporter.

The Police have been in charge of controlling traffic in the area while the tractor-trailer and the material it was transporting that was left on the side of the road were removed.
