As reflected in Agreement No. 1 of the STJ, on June 26, 1958, “the Ministers designated to integrate the Superior Court of Justice of the Province, Doctors Pedro Cristóbal Poppe, Rubén Antonio Simonet and Carlos Alberto Sancholuz, having taken the oath, met in agreement for the purposes of establishing the court.”
In that same act “they resolved to declare the Superior Court of Justice constituted, which will have its headquarters in the city of Rawson, Capital of the Province” and in the first article they appointed president of the court” as prescribed in art 166 of the Constitution of the Province. Province to Doctor Pedro Cristóbal Poppe, on a provisional basis until the Organic Law of the Judiciary is issued.”
In the aforementioned agreement they provide that “the procedure to be followed for the election of definitive authorities be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned constitutional clause” and among the first measures they took were: studying and resolving the budget restructuring in force for the year in the course of the Judicial Branch, draft the draft Organic Law of the Judicial Branch, as well as prepare and structure the budget project corresponding to the Judicial Branch for the year 1959.
