Diario CÓRDOBA will deliver this Friday the third edition of the ‘Guide to Mozarabic Way In cordoba’. The publication, which consists of 96 pages, will be distributed free of charge with each copy of the newspaper. In its pages, the work delves into the different itineraries that culminate in Córdoba and that, after leaving the province, join the Silver Way until you reach Santiago.
Besides, the third edition It includes updated details of the stages of the Camino from Córdoba and its confluent branches, Almería and Granada, Jaén and Málaga. It also reports on the experiences of the Jacobean movement in Córdoba during this last year. Precisely, the Junta of Andalusia has undertaken initiatives for the recovery and incorporation of rural paths and roads to the itinerary and Deputationtogether with five other provincial institutions, has developed the digitization of the Camino and new facilities and infrastructure have been put in place for pilgrims.
Magic itinerary
The ‘Guide to the Mozarabic Way in Córdoba’ has a main goal: invite the reader to approach this magical itinerary that not only has undeniable tourist potential. It is also historical heritageartistic, natural, sporting, social, spiritual and religious or structuring of the territory.
The Mozárabe Way is one of the paths that reaches Santiago, joining the south of Spain with the Galician capital. In the Middle Ages, this route regained great importance by connecting the provinces of Almería, Málaga, Granada and Jaén with Córdoba, and then continuing through the Silver Route.
