Symbolic hug to the Argentine Post Office
This Thursday at 11 a.m. there will be a new symbolic hug at the Correo Argentino building in the city of Santa Fe. The call is led by the College of Architects together with the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the UNL, the Faculty of Architecture of the Catholic University, the Municipal Council and other institutions.
The reason is the years of deterioration that the building, which is protected as a heritage property of the city, has been suffering from, suffering from leaks, broken mosaics, rust and structural problems.
It should be remembered that the building already had two tenders in 2017 and 2019 for its enhancement and intervention, although both were void and the works could not progress. It had fluctuating use of State agencies such as Afip, the Ministry of Equality and Gender, and Correo Argentino. Its surface area is almost 9,500 square meters available in the building, clearly underoccupied.

The activity has the support of the Municipal Council; the Secretary of Culture of the Santa Fe Municipality; the Chamber of Senators of the Province of Santa Fe; the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning. National University of the Coast; the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Santa Fe Catholic University; the College of Specialist Engineers of the Province of Santa Fe; the Professional College of Senior Construction Masters and Technicians of the Province of Santa Fe; the Institute of Urban-Architectural Theory and History; and the Institute of History, Theory and Criticism of Architecture and Heritage. In addition to the special participation of the Provincial Ballet Seminar; the Provincial Music School No. 9900 “Coral Institute”; the Provincial Music School No. 9901 “Children and Youth Orchestra”; and the Provincial School of Music N°9902 “CREI”.
