This will be the planned transformation of the “heart of Logroño”

‘Project 1521’, heir to the plans of 20 years ago with the model by Emilio Tuñón Álvarez and Luis Moreno García-Mansilla from 2003 on the table, promotes a new attempt to transform the surroundings of Revellín and Valbuena, pending since then, in favor of organizing said space “through action that is respectful of the efforts of previous corporations, promoting some of the most unique heritage elements of Logroño, while advancing the objective of providing more green areas to our city.”

The plan entails a notable regeneration of this environment in a significant way, which would enable a greater connection between some of the points that make up our Logroño identity: starting from the Ebro river itself and the green lung that extends in its vicinity to the itineraries and enclaves most outstanding of the city, from a cultural and heritage point of view, to converge in this environment that is now intended to be revitalized, turning it into a space of maximum coexistence and meeting point for Logroño residents, pilgrims, merchants and tourists.

Three phases, three; not less than eight years, two terms; and the “conviction”, in the words of the mayor, Conrado Escobar, to start this year, yes. This is the planned project (in general terms, since to know the details we will have to take the necessary steps), and these are its main milestones pending a new master plan where deadlines and, more importantly, budget are already required. .
