Governor Rolando Figueroa praised with expressions of gratitude and emotion the role that public workers of the province played in a very particular week, due to the severe climatic difficulties that affected practically the entire province, valuing their role as public servants for the benefit of the population and its presence in the territory. Today is celebrated public employee day at the provincial level.

“The public workers of EPEN, Provincial Roads, the Police, the Emergency Secretariat and other departments have stuck out their chests in solidarity work and have made a great effort, even beyond the limits. We have to take our hats off for the spirit of collaboration they have had, that is why I want to greatly rescue that work,” said the president.

“This human resource from our public companies, which we have been transforming every day to make them more efficient, has worked for others in places where the climate hit very hard and without a doubt we have to rescue them,” he added.

“In these days of strong storm there were coordinated actions, specifically by the Minister (of Human Development, Local Governments and Women, Julieta) Corroza, who toured the entire Northern region accompanying the worker and fundamentally the mayors and neighbors, with everything What was happening to him in those days. We have to be very attentive to the fact that the weather is going to continue to hit us, to always be present,” she insisted.

Finally, he sent his greetings to the rest of the State workers, highlighting “their commitment as servants of the people of Neuquén, whom they honor with their daily work to improve the service we provide from the State, making it increasingly more efficient to reach more people.”

The day of the provincial public employee was established in law 833 and later modified by law 1,708 of December 1987. Originally in 1974, the year in which this celebration was instituted, the day corresponded to July 4, but years later it was requested of the workers themselves was modified and was established as June 27.
