The Attorney General’s Office warns that the provision of the PAE service in Magdalena is at risk

The Attorney General’s Office has issued an alert regarding the continuity of the School Feeding Program (PAE) in nine territorial entities due to problems in the bidding, contracting and public order processes. The department of Magdalena is among the affected regions.

In addition, the entity has indicated that the Certified Territorial Entities (CTE) of Villavicencio and Santa Marta have registered a partial start in the attention of the Indigenous PAE, affecting approximately 3,664 students, according to the latest report from the Special Administrative Unit for School Feeding ( UAPA).

In response to this situation, the Attorney General’s Office has requested the General Director of the UApA, Luis Fernando Correa Serna, to report on the ETCs that received the third transfer of resources, which amount to a total of $361,727,785,174. The request includes the administrative act of assigning these resources, intended for the co-financing of the PAE, with the objective of ensuring the operation of the program in the country’s public educational institutions.

Likewise, the UAPA must confirm the schedule for the verification of service provision in official educational establishments during the rest of the year. These monitoring visits will be accompanied by the Public Ministry, within the framework of the preventive control carried out on the authorities responsible for the provision of educational services throughout the national territory.
