The upcoming weekend is expected to be very attractive in the province, with the celebration of various recreational activities to welcome the summer season.
Although the main venue of the celebrations will be Baracoa, in Bauta, the festivity for the date will extend to the entire Artemis territory. Particularly in San Cristóbal, workers in the Culture sector organize a set of options for the enjoyment of the population.
“On Friday at two in the afternoon, Summer Readings will take place, a space to show San Cristóbalenses the literature written by writers from the region. We intend to do it every Friday and each time in a different cultural institution; we will start at the entrance of the Municipal Museum,” explains Elizabeth Soroa Rivera, cultural communicator of the town.
On the evening of the 28th, there will be a concert by the soloist Jesús Suárez Alfaro, the Diamante Pinareño, at the El Ensueño Recreation Centre. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the José Martí popular council park will host the main celebration of the beginning of summer in the municipality, with a show by the amateur artists movement of the Celestino García Cultural Centre.
On Sunday, Berrinche Adentro will be held all day in the neighborhood of the San Cristóbal 2 popular council. At 4 pm, the Bailar Casino event will take place there and then, at 9 pm, there will be a presentation by local amateur artists.
Recreational activities will reach different places in the geography of San Cristóbal during July and August, including vulnerable neighborhoods and areas of Plan Turquino.
