The Metropolitan Police of Santa Marta (Mesan) captured in the last few hours six members of the Self-Defense Forces of the Conquerors of the Sierra Nevada (ACSN), in Santa Marta, who allegedly carried out extortions, thefts, subdivisions and illegal sale of land in different sectors of the capital of Magdalena.

The arrest of this criminal organization occurred within the framework of the ‘Police Service Model Oriented to People and Territories’ executed by the Mesan.
According to research, this criminal group had been operating in Santa Marta for four yearsand was dedicated to extortion and fraudulent legalization of properties.
Among those captured are alias ‘Beder’who was in charge of the illegal sale of land in the sectors of La Paz, Aeromar, Cristo Rey, Altos de Aeromar and Rodaderoas well as of to collect extortion payments.

He was also captured alias ‘He Lawyer‘, noted laundering the money obtained from the ‘drop by drop’that is, criminal income through informal money lending and investments in commercial premises.
In the midst of search and seizure operations, Police seized $21,154,000 pesos in cash, seven cell phones, dthe property files (each with the respective procedures for legalizing the theft), a gramera, a tablet, two notebooks, a computertwo DVRs and a 32 caliber revolver with six cartridges.
