The Council declared the construction of the new Santa Fe-Santo Tomé bridge of priority interest

In this Thursday’s session, the Municipal Council of Santa Fe declared of priority interest the materialization and execution, by the Government of the Province, of a new bridge that connects the cities of Santa Fe and Santo Tomé.

In this regard, the councilors expressed their support for the construction of the new bridge because it is ““a project that comes to settle an outstanding debt of the Government of the Nation with the Department of La Capital.”

Likewise, the councilors spoke regarding the signing of a collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Public Works of the Province, the Chamber of Senators, the Chamber of Deputies, and the Municipalities of the City of Santa Fe and Santo Tomé, to carry out feasibility studies for the new bridge that the Provincial Government will build, parallel to the Highway Bridge to connect the cities of Santa Fe and Santo Tomé.

“This is a project that began to be worked on from the beginning of the management of this new government, developing it responsibly, studying alternatives, previous projects, analysis of variables and taking levels of the type of soil found in the bed of the Salado River,” said Councilman Leandro González.

And continued: “Governor Pullaro’s decision to not only make demands but also to act is also a clear and concrete decision by a provincial government that is short of money but which shows that with efficiency and management things can be done despite the headwinds.”

Finally, Gonzalez explained that “As councilors we declare the bridge as a priority work and the news is that the bridge is going to be built, we are confident that Governor Pullaro’s word is valid and we embrace this political decision that will benefit thousands and thousands of residents of both cities” .
