Authorities in Cúcuta are investigating whether the driver of the other motorcycle was under the influence of alcohol or whether speeding was the cause of the accident.

The victim of this incident was identified as Yajaira Jackeline Mayorga Rodríguez.

For ten days, Yajaira Jackeline Mayorga Rodríguez’s life was in an intense struggle. Family and friends, clinging to hope, remained by her side, praying for her recovery after a terrible accident. They trusted that her charisma and energy would triumph, allowing this tragic episode to become a mere memory. However, fate dictated another path and, on Tuesday, June 25, her heart stopped beating.

On the morning of Sunday, June 16, Yajaira suffered a serious accident while driving her motorcycle on Avenida 2 and Calle 11, in the Aeropuerto neighborhood of Cúcuta. (Norte de Santander). It was 2:15 in the morning when the tragedy occurred: her motorcycle collided with another vehicle and Yajaira fell violently to the pavement, being seriously injured. Witnesses of the accident acted quickly, taking her to the nearest hospital.

Since then, Yajaira remained in critical condition at the Erasmo Meoz University Hospital. Her loved ones did not stop encouraging her, hoping for a miracle that would bring her back to life. But her fatality prevailed and, despite all her efforts, Yajaira did not manage to recover.

The Cúcuta Traffic and Transportation Section is investigating the circumstances of the accident to determine whether the driver of the other motorcycle was under the influence of alcohol or excessive speed was a determining factor in the loss of control of both vehicles.

The news of her death caused deep pain among those who knew her. Friends and acquaintances flooded social networks with emotional messages, remembering Yajaira for her energy and contagious joy. “Wherever you are, I will always carry you in my heart. Have a good trip, friend. God will receive you in her arms, for the beautiful woman you were and will always be in my memory,” wrote a friend on Facebook.

Yajaira, known for her smile and great attitude, left an indelible mark. Even The Community Action Board of the Panamericano neighborhood expressed its regret on social networks, highlighting its love for soccer. “We deeply regret the death of our friend and soccer teammate. We send a big hug of solidarity to his family and friends,” she said.

Thus, between tears and memories, the community of Cúcuta says goodbye to Yajaira Mayorga, a young woman whose life ended too soon, but whose joyful spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her.
