As part of the strategy to maximize sustainable economic development, continue advancing in environmental protection and bring more support to the four regions of the State, the Governor of San Luis Potosí Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, met with Sharif Salim Al Olama, undersecretary of Energy and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he promoted the Potosí Altiplano as the ideal site for investments in clean energy.

During his fifth day of work in Western Asia, the State Governor highlighted that San Luis Potosí will become a national and international reference in clean energy and sustainable development, with the rapprochement achieved with the Undersecretary of Energy and Petroleum, since there is great interest in installing solar farms and parks for the generation of energy, taking advantage of sunlight and the solar belt located in the Altiplano of San Luis Potosí.

Gallardo Cardona highlighted the importance of the Altiplano and the use of renewable energies that the current administration has promoted, which would be strengthened with an investment of this type from the United Arab Emirates, taking advantage of the fact that said country seeks to invest in Mexico, which will contribute to the attraction of new companies, management of innovative projects, more jobs and continue to detonate the economy of San Luis Potosí.

For his part, Sharif Salim Al Olama showed great interest in the installation of solar farms in San Luis Potosí, and announced that they will send specialists to the Altiplano Potosino to begin planning and management for the generation of energy through renewable resources and the creation of quality projects between both governments.
