In a tragic episode that occurred on the night of Wednesday, June 26, A man was murdered and a young man was reported missing in the La Laguna area, rural area of the municipality of San Antonio, Tolima.
The fatal victim was identified as Jose Julian Otalvaro Villanueva, known in the community as ‘Cayám’, 45 years old. According to reports from the authorities, Otálvaro Villanueva was the victim of gunshots, being seriously injured and later dying from the injuries suffered.
In addition, the disappearance of an 18-year-old young man, identified as Carlos Norvey Oviedo Cadena, who was apparently next to the victim at the time of the attack, ran to save himself, but was also hit by the bullets. His family had filed a report for his disappearance. A few minutes ago they also found this person without vital signs.
Regarding this fact, Colonel Flor Mariela Rodríguez, commander of the Chaparral police district, confirmed that José Julián Otálvaro Villanueva was seriously injured in the incident and unfortunately lost his life due to the severity of his injuries. Rodríguez also reported that a few hours later they found the lifeless body of the young man who accompanied him.
Likewise, the officer made a call to the community to collaborate with any relevant information that may help in the capture of those responsible, urging the population to use the emergency line 123 or contact local police.
