From Bolo Criollo to a large bazaar: these are the plans of ‘la Bonita’

The day of Bolo Criollo

This June 30, the Matecaña Bowling Courts in Bucaramanga, located at Carrera 9 #33-04, García Rovira neighborhood, will be the setting for the celebration of Bolo Criollo Day, a holiday that honors this native game from Santander, known as “El de los tres palos.”

Established by Ordinance 036 of December 6, 2010, this cultural-sports event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Its program includes a free tournament on the 9 courts of the venue for women and men, the National Police Marching Band and the country music show by Henry Herrera will also be present.

The day will be accompanied by prizes, cake for 100 people and a delicious Santander mute with roast beef.

Early bird market

Produce straight from the fields will arrive this Sunday, June 30, at Cancha Cañaveral, next to the Santa María Reina church from 6:00 a.m. to noon, in another edition of the Farmers’ Market.

We all go to the square

This June 29 and 30, La Libertad Park in Piedecuesta will be the scene of the 9th version of “Let’s go back to the Plaza.” Attendees of this free festival will be able to enjoy a program that includes music by Ivanny and La Matachera, theater, circus, visual arts, dance and local entrepreneurship.

A bazaar with a big heart

Charity and a good atmosphere will be present this Sunday, June 30, because the San Rafael asylum will hold a grand bazaar with free entry starting at 11:00 in the morning. The Provenza Metrolínea station will be transformed into a vibrant space for entrepreneurship with the start of MetroEmprende, this Friday 28th and Saturday 29th.
