In a clear message about the cultural wealth and emerging talent of the department of Cauca, Natalia Solarte, an 18-year-old girl born on June 17, 2005 in Popayán, is preparing to represent her land in the National Queen of the Sea.
Our beautiful land, which is usually better known for its socio-political challenges, is now positioned on the national stage through Natalia’s grace and conviction in the world of modeling.
With a deep-rooted passion for drawing, fine arts, music and sports, Natalia began her training at the Juan José Mancilla Talent Academy approximately a year and a half ago. Her selection as Cauca’s representative in the National Queenship of the Sea marks a significant turning point, challenging conventional perceptions about the region and highlighting its cultural and artistic potential.
“Natalia embodies the resilient and talented spirit of our region,” says Juan José, director of the academy that represents her. “Her participation is not only an honor for her, but also an opportunity to show the country that Cauca is much more than violence; it is a hotbed of talent and cultural diversity.”
