The exciting official launch of the World Robotic Olympiad (WRO) 2024 took place through the Misiones Robotics School streaming platform. This is a global competition that brings together talented young people from 97 countries in the exciting field of robotics.
This internationally renowned event aims to promote creativity, innovation and teamwork among students interested in technology and engineering.
The World Robotic Olympiad is a unique competition where participants have the opportunity to test their skills in designing, programming and building robots to solve specific challenges. This year, the theme will be “Earth Allies,” which aims to create projects that allow the use of robotics in the protection and preservation of the planet.
Through different categories and tests, the teams compete, demonstrating their technical skills, their ability to solve complex problems on the spot and their ingenuity in finding creative solutions. In this context, it is a source of pride and enthusiasm to highlight the participation of the Misiones Robotics School for the second time in the WRO, having been the hosts in the national organization of the same last year.
“We are proud to continue being part of this organization, which this year will compete in the final in Salta. We want to add more missionaries to the national team because it is a unique opportunity for the children to interact with students from other provinces and countries,” said the director of the School, Solange Schelske.
The School “has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to training in robotics and technology, preparing its students to face global challenges, demonstrating this even in 2023, when 70% of the national team was made up of missionary students. not only from the city of Posadas, but from towns in the interior of the province such as Cerro Corá and Alem.
The presence of the ERM at this event not only represents a unique opportunity for its students, “but also highlights the level of educational excellence and the innovative approach that characterizes the province. Active participation in international competitions such as the WRO contributes significantly to the academic, personal and professional development of the young people involved.
For this 2024, registrations and all the details of the competition will be available starting Friday, June 28 on the official website of the Robotics School, while on July 5 in the city park during the development of the 3rd edition of the Misiones Robotics Cup, a space will be included so that fans and future participants can come to present and test their robots, preparing for what will be the vibrant stage of the regionals on August 31 in the city of Posadas, an evaluative and qualifying instance for the next step of the nationals in the province of Salta on September 6 and 7, where the teams that win the first places in each category will be part of the national team that will compete between November 28 and 30 in Turkey.
