Córdoba hosts the ‘Kayakúrtuba 2024’ this weekend with around 70 canoeistsAJ GONZÁLEZ
This weekend it will be celebrated in our city a canoeing concentration organized by the club of CanoeingCordova. Is about the second edition of Kayakúrtubaa kayaking gathering whose first edition took place in 2019 and whose continuity was interrupted due to the pandemic.
They have confirmed their attendance around 70 canoeists of the Club Kayak de Mar Cádiz (Cádiz), Club Orca Kayak (Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz), Club Picahacho (Alcalá del Río, Seville), Club Viento Sur (Palma del Río, Córdoba), GPS Grupo Perabeño de Senderismo (Pedro Abad, Córdoba), Real Club Marítimo de Huelva (Huelva) and SFK San Fernando Kayak (San Fernando, Cádiz), as well as unaffiliated paddlers from Córdoba, Granada, Jaén and Murcia. The participants will arrive in the city starting Friday.
They have been scheduled crossings along the Guadalquivir throughout the weekend (Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30), both on the Casillas-San Rafael Bridge (with a visit to the Sculpture Island) and on the section between the Roman Bridge and the Carbonell Mill; The program also includes recreational activities and tourist visits.
The center of activities will be the IDM Centro Náutico, on the Balcón del Guadalquivir, where most of the participants will spend the night.
