Juan Carlos Realpe, CEO of Zúrich Seguros Colombia, spoke to La W with Julio Sánchez Cristo to talk about the company’s commitment to cultural and sports development in Colombia.
“Sport is a fundamental pillar for Colombians like sustainability, why? It is mental health, well-being and the path that we consider most appropriate is to support it,” he said.
Zúrich Seguros, which is present in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla and Bucaramanga, although it offers insurance services throughout the country; It also has an environmental social responsibility in Colombia.
“One of these messages, which is to help the planet, is a product that we launched in 2023 and covers damage to goods that move around the country in trucks. There are clients of ours who migrated from gasoline to electric vehicles,” she indicated.
And its contribution to caring for the Colombian environment does not stop there, because for every policy that Zúrich Seguros sells, a tree is planted in Vaupés, with a focus on supporting women heads of household and indigenous communities.
Finally, Realpe commented that the work being carried out at Zurich Seguros is “building resilience so that more and more Colombians have access to insurance.”
