A panorama full of music and rhythms of different styles will be experienced tonight in Cumming and Almirante Montt, with the performance of a new version of the Tocatas Porteñas that on this occasion will be called “Merger in Cumming”which hopes to be an entertainment alternative for the community of Valparaíso and also for visitors who will be in Valparaíso for the Saint Peter and Saint Paul weekend.

This time, the programme includes 5 gigs in 5 different venues and admission to each venue to see the live performances is completely free, as a way of promoting nightlife in this classic sector of Valparaíso. This formula has already been replicated in five versions of the Tocatas Porteñas, being highly praised by both the merchants who open the doors of their premises, and the musicians who have an important space to promote their creations.

The music will start at 8:30 p.m. at the classic Gato en La Ventana (Cumming 113), with the presentation of the Andean group Chiq. Aru, who are playing again in one of their favorite spaces; at 9 p.m. at La Rosita del Puerto (Cumming 109-35), whose specialty is colemono and fish calugas, there will be Claudio Silva Rey with all his romantic boleros and his charming voice; at Bar Industrial (Almirante Montt 24) at 9:30 p.m. the experimental rock band Delabsur will play; at La Morada (Cumming 68) at 10 p.m. it will be the turn of the reggae creations of the Buenos Aires singer Mc Jona; and closing the day at 10:30 p.m. at Nodo Valpo (Almirante Montt 109) we will have urban expressions with Zencilla and Svlvatore.

For Danilo Soto, from the El Gato venue in La Ventana, being part of the Tocatas Porteñas circuit is a good opportunity to enhance the night on Cumming Street. “We are grateful for the alliance that is being created between the tenants and the municipality. We invite you to the Tocatas Porteñas this Friday, where the musical group Chiq.Aru will perform, which is an Andean music group that will start at 8:30 p.m.”, explains the Buenos Aires tenant.

Another important point associated with the development of the Tocatas Porteñas is security, since there will be permanent patrols of municipal security vans during the live performances and Carabineros was also notified to have police presence in the Cumming and Almirante Montt sectors.

Meanwhile, for the renowned reggae singer from Buenos Aires, MC Jona, being part of the Tocatas Porteñas for the first time will be a pleasant experience. “I have the pleasure and honor of participating for the first time in my career in Tocatas Porteñas ‘Fusión en Cumming’ at Valpo 100, so I am very excited and happy to be able to participate in this tour of gigs that takes place between Cumming and Almirante Montt, where there will be 6 free shows for everyone to go and participate. For my part, I will be at 10 pm at the beautiful Bar La Morada for those who want to go and listen to a session of reggae in the vein, don’t miss it because I will be there with the whole repertoire”, says Buenos Aires native MC Jona.

Finally, Boris Yaikin, manager of Valpo al 100, stressed the relevance of this type of initiative, indicating that “We know how important Subida Cumming and Almirante Montt are in the Buenos Aires nightlife and in spreading the local bohemian vibe. We have already had several meetings in that place and we have always had a high attendance and a great reception from the locals. That is why, this Friday we are back with the Tocatas Porteñas, spread across 5 venues thanks to this device promoted by Valpo 100 with the support of Desarrollo Económico y Cultura.”
