Within the framework of the 2024 collective bargaining negotiations, the provincial government and state unions agreed on a 33% salary increase for public administration agents. The increase will be paid in stages: 9% in June, 9% in July, 6% in August and 9% in September.

According to the Government, this agreement was reached after an analysis of the provincial and national economic context and through dialogue between the parties. In addition, with the June salaries, public employees will receive a 9% increase, exceeding the latest inflation rate of 4.2%.

During the meeting, Salta’s willingness to maintain open collective bargaining negotiations and constant dialogue with the different sectors was highlighted. As an example, the reinstatement of the Teacher Incentive, now called Temporary Teacher Compensation, was mentioned, which will be financed with provincial funds until the end of the year.

The Administrative Coordinator of the Government, Nicolás Demitrópulos, participated in the meeting; Sergio Camacho, in charge of the Coordination of Liaison and Political Relations; the ministers of Economy, Education and Health, Roberto Dib Ashur, Cristina Fiore and Federico Mangione, respectively; and other officials.

In addition, an increase of $10,000 was agreed for Transfer and Centralized Dedication Expenses, to be paid in June. Also, it was decided that, from June to October, $7,700 will be deducted from the additional liquidation item 600 or 300 and $9,225 will be added to the base of each group of the general scale, thus avoiding losses in the net salary of employees.

From July 2024, the conditions and schedule will be established for the incorporation into the State Temporary Plant of those hired and agents who signed Collaboration Agreements with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, through the Subcommittee of Administrative Career of the Central Negotiating Commission.
