Mongolia supports food security in Cuba (+Photos)

The ambassador of the Republic of Mongolia in Cuba, Zoljargal Seseer, delivered this morning in Havana a donation to the World Food Programme to support food and nutritional security for pregnant women and vulnerable people in Villa Clara and Cienfuegos.

Havana Cuba.- The ambassador of the Republic of Mongolia in Cuba, Zoljargal Seseer, delivered this morning in Havana a donation to the World Food Program to support the food and nutritional security of pregnant women and vulnerable people in Villa Clara and Cienfuegos.

Amounting to one million US dollars, this contribution will meet the needs of some 50,000 people with 400 tons of rice, 107 tons of cooking oil and 250 tons of grains.

At the event, the Mongolian diplomat quoted words from his president at the most recent Summit of the Group of 77 when he expressed that the quality of a friend is known in difficult times.

Mongolia’s donation is part of the World Food Programme’s work to contribute to the island’s socioeconomic recovery.
