The 55th municipal criminal judge for control of guarantees of Bogotá, preventively sent Pedro Antonio González Chaparro to prison, investigated as a co-author of the homicide of a young man on June 2.

The office legalized the capture and the Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crimes of aggravated homicide in heterogeneous competition and qualified and aggravated robbery. Charges that were not accepted by the suspect.

According to the Bogotá Metropolitan Police, González continued to commit thefts in the Transmilenio system and tried to evade the controls carried out at the different stations and trunk lines by changing the color of his hair and using a face mask.

“In addition, this criminal used tickling and snatching to violently intimidate his victims and used sharp weapons to steal their belongings,” Mebog added.

How did the events occur?

Alejandro León was returning from work on Sunday, June 2, when he was intercepted at the Molinos Transmilenio station by three criminals, two men and a woman, who threatened and attacked him for stealing his cell phone.

“Unfortunately I never took Transmilenio. When they were arriving at the station, he felt like they were going to take his cell phone. He reacted and they struggled. It was when he wounded him with a stab wound to the aorta. The thieves left the station and took a taxi,” said Daniela León, the victim’s cousin, based on the testimony of the companions who were with the victim.

Transmilenio reported that Alejandro León was transferred to a medical center, where he died hours later due to the severity of his injuries.
